Baby Webb Nursery Inspiration & Design

Hi Lovelies! It's been a couple weeks since I last posted.
Work has been REALLY busy the past couple months.

A few people have asked me about my nursery. So far, we have 3 of the 4 walls painted. I know...bad mama. :| Honestly, the nursery has taken a bit of a back seat to other rooms in the new house but now that the house is getting more settled, I can refocus on the nursery.

I do have a solid idea of the color scheme and overall theme for the room. I knew early on that I wanted a modern nursery...something I could easily transition when baby girl becomes a big girl. I initially decided on light pink, mint green, black, white, and gold accents for the color pallet. I recently swapped the mint green out for more of a turquoise-aqua shade. And I threw out the black & white since the carpet upstairs is light brown.

Here are a few nurseries that inspired my design!

And here's MY design!

I do plan to purchase MOST of what you see in the design above. As much as I love two-toned cribs, I can't seem to find one under $300, so I'll probably settle for a more affordable Graco crib in a solid white or espresso finish.

I also plan to rehab a couple pieces rather than buy new.

My parents gave us an old glider and ottoman that we'll paint. Which is a major score considering that gliders run anywhere from $150 to $1,000! It just needs a coat of paint (most likely white) and it'll be like new. I considered reupholstering the cushions but they're in great shape so I'll probably leave them alone.

I recently bought an old antique dresser for $100 which I'll use for both a dresser and changing table. I'd like to paint it a pretty turquoise color similar to the dresser in the design mock-up above. And the mirror will definitely be coming off. ;)

Lastly, I wanted a nice side table to place next to the glider. I really liked this $120 barrel table. $120 is more than I wanted to spend so I continued my hunt until I found this green beauty on clearance at Target for $42! Yes. The plan is to spray paint this table in a metallic gold.

Can't wait to see it all come together...and share the process here with you. ;) Stay tuned!
