Bold Stripes

Eeeeeek!
My first style/fashion post in nearly 2 months!
Too bad I was in a rush and had to take the pics inside.
So sorry for the bad picture quality, gals.
Hopefully you get the idea. :)

Any hoo, I was super excited when eShakti contacted me back in December to sample one of their items. eShakti is an online store that offers custom ladies apparel. By custom, I mean that you can actually enter your measurements and they customize the size/fit of the item to perfectly fit your body. And I just love the vintage flair of their line.

I decided to go out on a limb and pick a skirt. Me and skirts normally don't get along well. My waist is pretty small but I have a large behind, hips and thighs, so skirts are often a challenge for me. I picked this particular skirt because of the bold stripes. Love bold stripes. And the red & cream is so pretty for spring.

The skirt was delivered back in January so I knew I needed to wear it...and SOON. I'm just about at the point where I'm going to have to start buying a few maternity pieces but I'm hanging on to my regular clothes for as long as I can, y'all. I tried this beauty on last week and, because of the small elastic strip along the back of the skirt, it fit very comfortably over my 16 week baby bump.

I wore it to church on Easter and got a TON of compliments!
Yay for pretty customizable clothing!

  10. I think I have the exact same problem as you with skirts - it's so hard to fit a small waist and a big behind! I love this skirt - you definitely picked a great item from eSkakti!
