"Stripes are the Neutral of the Print World"

...according to Bette Midler in her recent interview with O-Dub (a.k.a. Oprah, honey).

I disagree, though. I happen to think leopard is the neutral of the print world.
But what the heck do I know?! ;)

Anyway, Bette is clearly on to something because Glamour Magazine listed Bold Stripes in their Spring 2013 Most Wearable Fashion Trends line-up.

So when Marion of Marionberry Style selected this timeless trend for January's Trend of the Month link-up, I totally had to jump on the bandwagon. I was just glad the trend didn't end up being say...leather leggings...or I, unfortunately, wouldn't be participating. Not that I don't love leather leggings...they're just not for me.

I'm rambling. Allow me to get to the point.
Stripes.

I scored this super soft striped sweater at Target after Christmas for $12 on clearance!
And it was totally a coincidence that I paired it with this flannel top & jeans...also from Target.
But it worked. Man, I sure do <3 Target.
