Today has been a pretty laid back kinda day. I think I've mentioned before that hubby & I are unnecessarily busy...seems like we're always running around here, there, and everywhere...so it's nice to just not have much to do on the weekend.
My vacay is coming to an end, so I'm trying to prepare my mind for what's to come. The first quarter of the year is the busiest time for me at work so I'm really trying to savor this last bit of quiet and laziness.
I met up with a few of the ladies in our marriage life group for brunch earlier. I really do love just spending time with other women...encouraging one another...talking, laughing, and just being able to relate.
As much as I love my hubby, I recognize that he will never fully get me or think like me. Because, after all, he's a guy. And guys are from Mars...a planet where you can only do one thing at a time, be content watching sports and playing video games all day long, and be very confused when the other species from the planet Venus (i.e., women) cry at the drop of a hat. Anyway, I am majorly rambling. The point of all of this is my time with the ladies in my life is invaluable. And so needed. I actually kinda feel bad for women who don't have authentic relationships with other girls. They are so missing out.
Speaking of Mars, my hubby is coming down with something...I refuse to use the "f" word (i.e., flu), though. We don't have time for the "f". So we're calling it a severe cold...that we hope goes away by Monday. Men are so funny when they're sick...so helpless. But it's OK...I don't mind playing doctor every once in awhile.
Annnddd here is my very comfy OOTD!
.:: details ::.
sweater: Rusty Rabbit (boutique in Grapevine) | top: Target
jeans: Express | boots: Nine West Outlet
hair scarf: Old Navy
Oh & a special PSA from my hubby:
Keep your hands washed and don't touch your face or the "f" might be coming for you, too. ;)
I love hanging out with my life group ladies as well. Make Q take some Cod Liver Oil (tablet or straight). By Monday he will feel like a champ. Also, straight vitamin C in tablet form also help. Love the sweater!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jessica! I'll go pick up some oil and vitamin C.
