...that is the question.
Before we get to this week's topic, let's do a little recap:
And this week's topic is:
Trends I'm REALLY Digging...
And Wearing Often
I started down the path of creating a collage of all of the trends I'm really digging at the moment and suddenly remembered I had pretty much already put one together AND blogged about it here. One of my first blog posts. ;) So rather than start from scratch, I did a little tweaking.
{1} Colored Denim.
I was so excited when colored denim surfaced as a trend! I naturally lean towards neutrals, so colored denim instantly takes the guess work out of adding color to my outfit. Love this trend.
{2} Stripes & Polka Dots.

So true, Bette. Well said.

I heart a pretty printed blouse. I tend to default to floral prints, but I'm also really loving the tribal print this season. Check out a recent OOTD post featuring a printed blouse I bought on super clearance at the Loft.
{5} Blazers.
Chambray is my fave trend. And a cute well-fitting blazer comes in at a very close second. Wore a killer pink blazer recently & blogged about it here.
{6} Scarves.
{8} Statement Necklaces.
Scarves are the ultimate accessory. The perfect finishing touch to any outfit. Check out a few OOTD posts featuring a pretty scarf here and here and here.
{7} Dainty Jewels.
I really am a minimalist when it comes to accessorizing. So I can totally appreciate a dainty alternative to accessory trends like studs and spikes.{7} Dainty Jewels.
{8} Statement Necklaces.
About 8 months ago, I took myself off of statement necklace punishment and decided to give them another shot. You see, I have a pretty long neck. And for a long time, I hated my long neck. The last thing I wanted to do was draw attention to it by throwing a big fancy necklace around it. But you know what? I think I've seen the light...so the heck with it! God gave me this long neck...so why not accentuate it?!
{10} Riding Boots.
This trend has definitely stood the test of time. I bought these Steven Madden boots 2 years ago and they've popped up on the shelves in major department stores every season since then at the same dern price. Whether styled with a dress or a pair of patterned leggings...riding boots are seriously versatile and will probably be around for seasons to come.
{11} Booties.
I instantly fell in love with these leopard wedge booties when I spotted them at Marshall's a few months ago. Blogged about these beauties here.
Next week's {To Trend...Or Not To Trend?} topic:
Trends I LOVE,
Haven't Yet Tried,
But Definitely Plan to Try Soon

And the final topic:
Trends That Took Me Awhile To Adopt...But Now I'm a Believer
What trends are you digging and wearing often?
I have such a stripes and polka dot obsession! I wanted a cargo vest sooo badly but I could never seem to find one in my size. I'm a new follower!

I love all of those things except booties. I know, I know, but I just can't get into them! But riding boots, blazers, scarves, patterned blouses I'll wear until the end of time :)
ReplyDeleteI love the riding boot AND statement necklace trends. Just got both this Christmas!

Nice compilation. I am a huge fan of the statement necklace and cheetah print! I should wear more of this. Thanks for the reminder!
