Thursday Thrills, Throwbacks & Threads

{1} I participated in Trusty Chucks & Texas Lovebirds' very first Copycat Linkup party last Thursday. And received a special, "thanks for being 1 of the first 5 to link up, so you get a $5 Starbucks e-card" email from them. Woot! I used my gift card yesterday for a yummy Pumpkin Spice Latte and a banana. The total came out to $5.14. So I go to grab .14 from my wallet when the barista says, "no worries babe...I got you". Hollllllerrr. How's that for a thrill? DOUBLE thrill action.

Thanks for the gift card, ladies! I'll definitely be linking up again soon. :)

{2} Went to bible study last night. And the worship team sang Healer by Kari Jobe. I LOVE that song. Always reminds me of the spiritual, mental, and physical ailments the Lord has healed me from.  And that he's "MORE than enough for me".

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. - 1 Peter 2:24

One word...MASH. An acronym for Mansion. Apartment. Shack. House. And by the way, I would play this game 50 times in a row until I landed on Mansion. ha!

Who DIDN'T play MASH as a kid? I was definitely the girl who took this game VERY seriously. After all, it determined my ENTIRE fate.

For example:
My future husband. Tyson Beckford...duh.
My future occupation. Pediatrician...duh.
My future car. Lamborghini...duh.
The color of my future wedding gown. Hot pink...duh.
My future home. A mansion in Beverly Hills...duh.

Now let's talk about reality.
The reality is I married a guy WAY hotter than Tyson Beckford.
I grew up, went to college and became an HR Manager for a global company. Because let's face it...the mere THOUGHT of blood and vomit makes me light headed.
I drive a Volkswagen because if I went out and bought a Lamborghini, I'd also be living in it.
My wedding gown was ivory-ish.
And I DEFINITELY don't live in a mansion.
And I'm OK with all of that. So take that MASH. :)

I heart this outfit. So funky. Yet feminine at the same time. Love.
